Meet lifestyle blogger, author and singer, Toi Stori, from Queens, NY. Toi started writing "Blood of a Queen" back in 2007 and soon became discouraged by the traditional publishing process. She encourages others like herself to "take on innovation [ TOI ]"; "overcome fears" and to "pursue your passion, pursue your goal". Before the release of her long awaited novel, Toi takes us along on her journey through video blogs on her YouTube channel.
She describes her book as "out of this world" and one to "take you for a doozy". Toi spoke on the main character 'Ruby' who is a sheltered girl looking for her freedom; however, she also identifies with many of the characters. "I am pulling things out of me and giving them to the characters". Her song, also titled 'Blood of a Queen' gives strength to the main character, Ruby, to uncover a hidden family secret and take control of her own life. The best thing about 'Blood of a Queen' is that it comes with music and digital content to enhance your reading experience simply by scanning the cover of the book.
